Developed in 1889 with land donated by heiress Mary Schenley, the park now consists of 456 acres of trails, woods, and attractions. Cedar Run Park is a neighborhood park located within the community of Cedar Run in Blacklick, OH. This park was constructed in 2013, and attributes an open air shelterhouse, plenty of green space and playground equipment. Additionally, this park attributes an updated shelter, half-court basketball/ Pickle Ball court and playground. The park is also home to the Franklin Park Conservatory , which is a cherished gem of the city and is run by Joint Recreational District/Conservatory. The Ohio Basic Assembly passed a resolution in 1885 that permitted use of the land as a public park to be administered by the City of Columbus.
